PayPal provides you with life, business travel, and sickness absence insurance at no additional cost.

Insurance is about protecting the people who are most important to you. It’s about having financial protection—in the event you need it. It’s about taking care of yourself and your loved ones if you become severely injured or die. It’s about having peace of mind.

Who’s eligible

All employees working at least 20 hours a week are immediately eligible and automatically enrolled in life, business travel, and sickness absence insurance.

Life insurance

You’re eligible for up to 4 times your annual base salary at no cost to you.

Business travel insurance

If you and your eligible dependants are travelling abroad on company business, you’re covered if something happens. Business travel insurance is provided at no cost to you.

Coverage highlights

  • Accidental death insurance of up to 5 times your salary ($1 million USD limit)
  • Insurance for medical expenses incurred outside your home country, up to $200,000 USD per person per trip with a $50 USD deductible for each incident
  • Reimbursement for lost or stolen personal items, up to $500 USD per item, and limited to $1,000 USD per incident
  • Reimbursement for lost or stolen cash or cash equivalents, up to $500 USD per item, and limited to $1,000 USD per incident

Sickness absence insurance
