Short-term disability
In the event of an illness, you receive 100% of your base salary for the first 15 days. After 15 days, you are entitled to the INSS (social security) short-term sickness benefit, as long as you’ve contributed to social security for at least 12 months.
Permanent disability due to accident
You receive up to 24 times your monthly base salary, up to R$1.517.008,32.
Total and permanent functional disability due to illness
You receive 24 times your monthly base salary, up to R$1.517.008,32.
