What you need to know
You are automatically enrolled in the PayPal Pension Plan if you’ve been with the company for 6 months. Depending on the plan level, PayPal and you may make contributions to the pension plan.
How it works
The plan is divided into Levels 1, 2 and 3.
Level 1
This level is funded completely by PayPal. You must be employed with the company at least 6 months to be eligible for this plan, and you’re automatically enrolled in the plan. PayPal contributes 3% of your salary to the pension plan, up to €1.800,00 per year.
Levels 2 and 3
Level 2 is funded by you. You must be employed with the company for at least 6 months to be eligible for this plan. You may contribute a percentage of your salary to the pension plan. PayPal matches your Level 2 contributions, up to a maximum of 2% of your salary.
Level 3 is funded by PayPal and is always linked with Level 2, as PayPal will match your Level 2 contributions, up to a maximum of 2% of your salary. The Level 3 benefit that’s paid into your pension depends on your start date at PayPal.
