What you need to know
The LUX MED Group provides basic and premium medical cover for PayPal employees working in Poland. You can register for the plan through HR Hub.
Eligibility
All permanent PayPal employees are eligible to enroll in medical cover starting on the first day of employment.
What’s covered
LuxMed provides comprehensive medical services: outpatient, diagnostic, rehabilitation, hospital, and long-term care. They run the largest network of non-public healthcare facilities in Poland. LuxMed group encompasses LuxMed insurance, LuxMed diagnostics, 5 hospitals and the Tabita Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Both basic and premium medical cover include the following comprehensive medical care at any LUX MED Group or Medycyna Rodzinna medical centre or partnering facility, with most services covered 100%:
- Occupational medicine (PayPal employees only)
- Basic specialist consultations (basic, extended & complex)
- Psychological and psychiatric consultation
- Professor degree physicians available with referral
- Non-consultation outpatient procedures
- Flu vaccinations / tetanus vaccine
- Prevention without a referral
- Pregnancy care
- Complex diagnostic examinations
- Skin allergy tests
- Rehabilitation
- Dental inspection once a year
- Prophylactic dentistry
- Dental X-ray, pantomogram
- Non-invasive dental care
In addition to this cover, you also receive a 10% discount on services not covered by your medical plan. You also have access to the patient portal, 24-hour information hotline, and SMS appointment reminders.

Reimbursed prescription drugs
You must be eligible for healthcare services through the NFZ (National Health Fund) to obtain a prescription for reimbursed drugs. Your doctor can verify your eligibility during your appointment.
Cost of cover
PayPal pays 100% of the premium for employees and 50% of the premium for your eligible dependents. You are responsible for paying any benefit-in-kind taxes.

Offboarding from the plan
Contact HR Hub via ticket. Please note that when your employment with PayPal ends, your cover with LuxMed will cease.
