What you need to know
PayPal is committed to supporting the total health and well-being of women. This includes helping you navigate the stages of perimenopause and menopause. That’s why we’re offering you access to the Bupa menopause scheme — at no cost to you.
Eligibility
Any employee who is perimenopausal or menopausal is eligible for the menopause scheme, and you don’t need to be enrolled in the Bupa medical scheme to participate.
This scheme is not available to your family or friends.
What the scheme covers
The menopause scheme is fully funded by PayPal and covers a range of services that can support you during perimenopause and menopause. This includes:
- Pre-appointment questionnaire and symptom checker
- 45-minute consultation with a general practitioner who has specialist training for menopause
- 15-minute follow-up appointment 12 weeks after your initial appointment
- Advice from qualified professionals and ongoing helpline support
- Onward referral to physiotherapy, gynaecology, counselling, and liaising with your NHS general practitioner, if needed (covered by NHS or your medical insurance)
- Private prescription, if required (covered by NHS or your medical insurance)
- Bespoke private-care scheme tailored to your personal needs
- One-year access to Bupa 24/7 Anytime Health Line to speak to menopause-trained nurses
Care for yourself, care for others.
Every time a PayPal employee signs up for the menopause scheme, PayPal will donate 5% of the scheme’s cost to Wellbeing of Women.
Need to cancel your appointment?
No-shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged to PayPal in full. If you’re unable to keep your scheduled appointment, contact Bupa as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule.
