About Prévoyance
Prévoyance is the disability / work accident insurance plan available to all employees of PayPal France SAS, PayPal SE, and PayPal SE EU. This is a mandatory plan for all employees. You cannot opt out from the plan unless your employment ends (you must be insured throughout your employment).
Enrolling in the plan
You are automatically covered as soon as you start your employment with PayPal. The company pays 50% of the premium for employee and dependant cover.
What the plan covers
Short-term disability
- 100% of annual salary for 90 days, then 85% of annual salary up to Tranche C ceiling, and after social security indemnity deductions
Long-term disability (excluding work-related accident)
- 1st Category: 60% of salary
- 2nd Category: 85% of salary
- 3rd Category: 85% of salary
Long-term disability (due to work-related accident)
- Incapacity less than 33%: no benefit
- Incapacity more than 33% but less than 66%: 1.5 x level of incapacity x 85% of salary
- Disability Rate more than 66%: 85% of salary
