Accolade Health Assistants

With Accolade, you have access to personal health assistants who will work with you to help you understand your benefit plan options, schedule appointments, resolve claim issues, assist with prescriptions, and navigate your PayPal benefits.

Accolade is your first place to turn to whenever you have a health benefits question, big or small. Your Accolade Health Assistant will take the time to get to know you, understand your needs, provide support with your PayPal benefits, and answer questions like.

  • Can you help me find a doctor that meets my needs?
  • I need help scheduling an appointment.
  • Is there a more affordable medication?
  • I was just diagnosed with a condition. What’s next?
  • Can you help me prepare for my next doctor’s visit?
  • I don’t understand my medical bill and Explanation of Benefits (EOB).

Your Health Assistant can even connect you to a nurse who can help you understand symptoms, learn about a condition, or explore treatment options.

Accolade also provides you with access to virtual health care providers and expert medical opinion services.

This service is completely confidential and provided at no cost to you.

Activate your Accolade account

The Accolade member portal and mobile app puts everything in one place.

Visit member.accolade.com, or download the Accolade, Inc. mobile app by texting ACCD to 67793 to activate your account today. You can call or message your Health Assistant or nurse directly from the mobile app.

Virtual care through Accolade Care

You have access to Accolade Care, allowing you to see doctors and therapists by phone or computer — day or night. Get support for urgent care needs, including the flu, a sore throat, or an infection, or virtually see the same doctor or therapist for ongoing care needs, such as diabetes or high blood pressure. Virtual care can be used for many of the same reasons you would visit a doctor in person, such as for prescriptions, mental health, or sleep problems.

Your cost for virtual care services is based on your medical plan’s coverage for office visits.

Note: Accolade Care is not available to Kaiser medical plan members or to those who waived medical coverage.

Second medical opinion through Accolade Expert MD

All PayPal employees and eligible dependents have access to Accolade Expert MD, Accolade’s medical opinion service. You can arrange for a second opinion from a world-renowned doctor about a diagnosis, treatment option, surgery, or medication that you may be feeling unsure about — at no cost to you. You do not need to be enrolled in a PayPal medical plan to use this service.
